• APPLICATIONS TO THE COVID-19 SUPPORT FUND IS NOW OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK

    To better serve the community, we are pooling our regional resources, which can now be accessed through a single application form below.

  • FUNDING

    As bars and restaurants across the country navigate reopening with lower capacities, reduced hours and changing costs, we’re seeing the need for support fluctuate from week to week, region to region. To accommodate this evolving need, the Bartenders Benevolent Fund COVID-19 Support Fund has shifted to a national application process, with only one form to apply for support.

    WHO CAN APPLY

    Applications are open to all front of house and back of house hospitality professionals across Canada. If you have held employment in a licensed establishment on or after January 1, 2020 and have proof of employment and a valid SIN, you are eligible.

    WHAT IS THE PROCESS

    After submitting your application, our Funding Officer will confirm your identity, employment history and past funds awarded. Following confirmation, your application will have all identifying information removed and it will be shared to our selection panel for review.

  • HOW IT WORKS - NEW TXT PLS

    The Bartenders Benevolent Fund COVID-19 Support Fund is open to support hospitality professionals across Canada. To apply, outline your specific circumstances and upload supporting documentation through our online application form, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your application will be submitted to our panel at the start of the following calendar week, where it will be stripped of identifying information before being scored through our impartial guidelines by a panel of hospitality professionals from across the country. An amount of $250 or $500 will be awarded dependent on need.

    Fill out the online Application Form, including all requested supporting material, and submit. You will receive a confirmation email upon submission (check your junk mail!).

    APPLICATIONS REVIEWED

    Our Funding Officer confirms all applicant details, removes identifying information and shares them to the Disbursement Panels by Tuesday of the following calendar week.

    RECIPIENTS NOTIFIED

    Each claim is independently reviewed, and those at the most risk or in need are allocated funds based on urgency, and all applicants are notified by email on the following Thursday.

    FUNDS
    DISPERSED

    Successful applicants will need to provide a valid Social Insurance Number for tax purposes, and banking information by the following Saturday. Payouts will take up to five business days from this point.
