WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
The Bartenders Benevolent Fund #EveryLoonieHelps National Tip Jar is a nationwide initiative partnering with government liquor agencies and independent spirits retailers to help expand the BBF’s visibility and encourage consumers to add a donation to their purchase.
As the days and months go by, we see more bars and restaurants struggling to keep afloat. Without these businesses being able to operate at 100% capacity, we see more and more industry professionals losing their livelihoods and facing financial hardship. Since March 2020, the Bartenders Benevolent Fund has helped bartenders, servers, managers, chefs and support staff with health expenses, families to feed and bills to pay.
HOW IT WORKS
Funds are raised through a variety of sources, from individual donations, brand sponsorships and fundraising initiatives, and support our Emergency Relief Fund as well as programming around mental wellness, food security and diversity.
The #EveryLoonieHelps Tip Jar initiative allows consumers to help COVID-affected hospitality professionals by donating directly to the BBF, with three ways to give:
BBF DONATION SKU
Create a SKU called “BBF Donation” in increments of $1-$5. When customers make a purchase, they could be kindly prompted to add a “tip” to their bill.
QR CODE
We will provide you with tent card and poster assets to display at your till with a custom QR code that will direct customers directly to our donations page.
PHYSICAL TIP JAR
Because every loonie really does help! If your business is accepting cash, we can provide you with printable assets to communicate the program to your customers.
